Notes From An Artist supports Empower Thru Music in their efforts

Empower Thru Music provides an interdisciplinary approach across grade levels and subject matter to incorporate and assimilate curricula through instruction based upon The Learning Standards for the Arts. 

Our process features a cross curricular infusion using music as a jumping-off platform to address mathematics, language arts, social studies, and science. By teaching across the curricula - students connect facets of all subjects and integrate them more effectively. 

We ensure ALL students have every opportunity and advantage to gain access to the arts. Music plays a vital role in a young person’s life. We empower and amplify the voices of our future culture keepers, change-makers, and global citizens.

We develop literacy and language skills through the combination of music and lyrics. Improved memorization, pronunciation, and diction are all promoted using familiar melodies and rhythms. 

Our Teaching Artists are all professional musicians who have performed and recorded all over the world! These artists are both articulate and animated and can directly interact with all students whatever their level of proficiency! 

Guided by the Arts Standards, our Teaching Artists are aware of the important relationship they must develop with the classroom teacher to ensure that the program is sustained throughout the year. We will support the teachers and advise them in developing materials to further enhance our programs.

We bring an appreciation of all types of music to children who may never get this opportunity ever again and most of all...it's fun!

Accomplishing weekly goals adds to a student’s self-confidence. Empower Thru Music believes in music education that incorporates goal setting and goal achievement and will instill within your students’ fundamental lifelong skills that they can utilize in any situation.

Empower Thru Music uses music as a catalyst to promote understanding and respect. Deepening attitudes of acceptance and tolerance will serve to influence all children in an inspired and positive way.

Student performances are exciting and critical to a successful music residency. Performances offer a safe and supportive showcase for your students' artistic achievements. The weekly goals we establish and achieve in preparation for these community building events foster lasting pride and self-confidence.
