He is a bassist, educator (Empower Through Music), journalist (Downbeat, Jazz Improvisation, JazzTimes, Bassics, Bass Musician), recording artist (Theorcolus), and radio-podcast host. David C. Gross' career as a player spans Aztec Two Step, Stephen Stills, and Humble Pie to cite a select few. An a-list session cat / sideman / bandmember, David has authored seventeen books, three instructional videos and is the founder of www.thebassguitarchannel.com.
A journalist and a bass player, Tom has worked with AP, Reuters, BBC, MTV, Rolling Stone, Spin, Vh-1, and Huffington Post, among others. A University of Miami jazz program alum; Tom commenced his post grad work at CBGB and like establishments! In 2013 he founded www.KnowYourBassPlayer.com – an editorial and video platform based in New York and London which features essays and interviews.
